Yoo was invited as a participating artist for the special pavilion selected by the Korea Ceramic Foundation. Through this exhibition, she intends to offer visitors a glimpse of the new possibilities of installation ceramics and the healing value inherent in ceramic art.
The Blessing Bells series unveiled here consists of installation ceramic works built upon the warm materiality of clay and its natural resonance. Rather than simply showcasing formal beauty, the works carry messages of blessing, hope, and comfort into the space, earning recognition as art that communicates emotionally with its audience.
The works are expressed primarily through calm shades of green that evoke the natural color of grass. This reflects the artist’s intention to offer a pause amid the weary routines and tangled emotions of a rapidly changing modern society. Colors that embrace both vitality and a sense of stability convey psychological calm and ease to those who linger in the space, allowing them to feel a connection with nature.

Particularly noteworthy is how the symbolic object of the bell is used to visually embody the unseen resonance that links person to person, person to space, and person to nature. Yoo interprets the sound of the bell not as mere sound but as a “language of the heart,” guiding visitors to discover inner peace and hope on their own through the work.
The exhibition presents not only installation pieces but also a variety of ceramic objects. The distinctive glaze tones that Yoo has developed through repeated research and experimentation lend each work its own depth and character. Each object, combining practicality with artistry, adds a new sensibility to a space and serves to further expand the artist’s formal vocabulary.
Such work demonstrates the current of contemporary ceramics expanding beyond traditional pottery into installation art and spatial art. In particular, it suggests the possibility that ceramic works can fully express their artistic value even outside the exhibition hall, within everyday spaces — a contribution recognized as enriching the genre of installation ceramics.

“The resonance of a bell is not merely a sound but a language of blessing that connects the human heart with space,” said Yoo. “Through this exhibition, I hope many people will experience the warm resonance and restful ease that the works convey.”
Yoo has also been active in the fields of ceramic culture and arts education. In 2020, she conducted lead research on the effectiveness of ceramic education at the Korea Ceramic Foundation, and in 2024 she was invited to the Jinju Cultural Foundation’s Exhibition Direction Academy, where she served as artistic director. She is currently holding an invitational exhibition at the Jinju Environment Museum, contributing to the development of regional culture and the arts.
Meanwhile, THE MAISON 2026 is one of Korea’s foremost living exhibitions, spanning the full spectrum of premium lifestyle — furniture, interior accessories, decoration, plants, tableware, ceramics, galleries, and more. As an event that proposes new values for space and life, it draws considerable attention each year from visitors and industry professionals alike.
Yoo Seung-hyun, who runs ArtSpace YOU in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, is broadening new horizons for the art of ceramics through a range of activities including installation ceramics, exhibition planning, and arts and culture education. This exhibition is expected to be a special venue of resonance, connecting art, space, and the human heart.
