Namdong-gu (남동구) Holds 2026 Joint Public-Sector Consultative Meeting on Medical Aid Case Management

Namdong-gu (남동구), Incheon (인천시), announced on the 29th that it recently held a joint consultative meeting at a conference room in the Lifelong Learning Center (평생학습관) to strengthen integrated support for medical aid recipients and promote cross-sector cooperation in public case management.
The meeting brought together officials from relevant divisions including medical aid case management, integrated case management, and Dream Start (드림스타트), and was organized to better connect appropriate resources and deliver comprehensive services to medical aid recipients facing complex needs.

Participants also discussed collaborative approaches, including findings from recent visit-based monitoring of frequent medical facility users, through which individuals with housing vulnerabilities and alcoholism (알코올중독) were identified and referred for integrated case management.
In particular, participants shared practical information on programs currently being run across departments — including the Home-Based Medical Aid Program (재가 의료급여사업) and the Integrated Care Program (통합돌봄사업), which provide services such as medical care, meal support, and transportation assistance to help discharged medical aid recipients reintegrate smoothly into the community. They reached a consensus on the importance of building an organic cooperative framework among the various programs.
A Namdong-gu official stated, 'An integrated approach is essential to improving the quality of life and fostering healthy independence among medical aid recipients,' adding that the district will continue to lay the groundwork for sustained cooperation through joint case conferences and similar initiatives.
