The billboard was installed by the Residents' Autonomy Committee at the dong office last year, and the event was organized to make use of it so that residents could enjoy cultural activities close to home without financial burden.
The film screened that day was "Sunny," which depicts the friendship and memories of a group of friends from their school days. Residents who took part gathered with family and neighbors to watch the film and spend time together.
The Residents' Autonomy Committee actively utilized the LED billboard installed last year as a cultural space to share with local residents, using the occasion to transform the dong office into an open, resident-friendly space. This also had the effect of providing residents with various opportunities to enjoy culture.
Lee Young-cheol, chairman of the Residents' Autonomy Committee, said, "I hope this event provided an opportunity for residents to enjoy culture together and communicate with one another," adding, "We plan to continue operating various resident participation programs, including film screenings, going forward."
