Hands-on activities, food, gardens, and performances offer a wealth of attractions throughout Anyangcheon Stream
This weekend, Anyangcheon Stream will offer everything from gardens and robot experiences to performances and a light festival, all in one place.
Ahead of the ‘2026 Guro G Festival,’ to be held from the 19th to the 20th, Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong) is introducing the main attractions for visitors to the festival grounds.
On the 18th, one day before the main event, the Guro Garden Festa, the French Culture Festival, and the Anyangcheon Light Festival will begin first, allowing visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere from Friday evening.
Those visiting with children may wish to start with the area around the water play zone. At 1 p.m. on the 19th, the ‘Guro-gu Creative Convergence Competition’ will be held, in which elementary school students compete in drone racing and robot soccer. Hands-on programs offering firsthand experience with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics will also run for two days starting on the 19th.

Spaces for families to take a break with their children will also be provided nearby. A heat-relief shelter equipped with a water-mist spray system will be set up in the Picnic Garden, and the Family Rest Zone will feature shade canopies and rest chairs. A pop-up library and hands-on programs will also be operated, allowing visitors to enjoy rest and play in one place.
Those looking for food can head to Soccer Field A and the area around the water play zone. Soccer Field A will host an eco-friendly food market run by residents’ autonomy committees and private organizations, while the area around the water play zone will offer a variety of food and a flea market. The food market will use reusable containers to reduce the use of disposable products.
At the Ecological Flower Garden, visitors can experience gardens and world cultures at the same time. The Guro Garden Festa, held from the 18th to the 20th, will feature a variety of garden activities for the whole family and photo zones, along with cultural performances such as the ‘Garden Picnic Talk’ and the ‘Garden Hyu (Rest) Concert.’
At the French Culture Festival, visitors can try making miniature Eiffel Towers and face painting, and sample French desserts such as macarons. They can also take photos in front of the illuminated Eiffel Tower sculpture or enjoy band performances. On the 19th and 20th, the Asian Culture Festival will also be held, bringing the cultures of various countries together in one place.

Those who stay into the evening will be treated to performances and the light festival. On the evening of the 19th, singers Lee Jae-hoon and Kim Hyun-jung will take the main stage following the opening ceremony of the Guro G Festival. On the evening of the 20th, the ‘TOP 10 Song Show,’ featuring Park Seo-jin, Jin Sung, Ahn Sung-hoon, and My Jin, among others, will bring the festival to a close.
The Anyangcheon Light Festival will begin with a lighting ceremony at 8:30 p.m. on the 18th and continue through the 30th. Nighttime landscape lighting and light sculptures will be installed around the Ecological Flower Garden, allowing visitors to enjoy them on autumn evening strolls even after the G Festival ends.
There is also a way to start Sunday morning with a walk. On the 20th, the promotional booths will open at 7:30 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 8 a.m., and from 8:20 a.m. the ‘Guro Carbon Zero Walking Event’ will take participants on a 4-kilometer (km) round-trip walk along Anyangcheon Stream. Anyone can take part on site without prior registration.

Mayor Jang In-hong of Guro-gu said, “We have prepared this festival so that visitors can enjoy a variety of culture, hands-on activities, food, and relaxation while walking along Anyangcheon Stream.
