With the official launch of Yeongjong-gu in Incheon on July 1, the Jung-gu Career Experience Support Center, which has overseen career education for local youth, has changed its name to the Yeongjong-gu Career Experience Support Center and set out on a fresh start. According to the center, this goes beyond a mere name change and newly establishes its role as the hub institution overseeing career education for youth in the newly created Yeongjong-gu.

In step with this administrative district reorganization, the center is positioning itself as the leading career education institution supporting career exploration and career planning for youth in the Yeongjong area. Above all, it plans to further expand tailored career education that reflects the regional characteristics of Yeongjong-gu and the future industrial environment.
Based on close cooperation with schools and the local community, the center has operated a variety of programs — including specialized services, sports-sector programs, a career airfield, career concerts, and school- and community-linked programs — to build the career competencies of local youth. Launching under its new name, the center will strengthen specialized career education that draws on the unique strengths of Yeongjong International City.
In particular, it plans to continue expanding career experience programs linked not only to the aviation and logistics industries and the tourism and service sectors centered on Incheon International Airport, but also to future industries such as drones, aircraft maintenance and air traffic control. Through this, it aims to broaden opportunities for youth to directly experience local industries and future jobs. In that it harnesses the airport, a regional asset, as a resource for career education, the initiative is regarded as an educational model unique to Yeongjong-gu that sets it apart from other regions.
The cooperation framework will also be reinforced. The center plans to further solidify a career education cooperation framework in which schools, businesses, public institutions and the local community participate together, and to expand cooperation with various education-donation institutions to provide youth with wide-ranging, high-quality career experiences. It plans to strengthen ties with related local institutions, including the Incheon Airport Aviation Job Employment Support Center, an education-donation career-experience certified institution, and to increase field-oriented programs that utilize Yeongjong's industrial base, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of region-specific career education.
The head of the Yeongjong-gu Career Experience Support Center said, "The Yeongjong-gu Career Experience Support Center, which is starting anew with the launch of Yeongjong-gu, is not simply a change in the institution's name but a new beginning as it leaps forward into a career education platform that designs the future of local youth together." The head added, "We will continue to discover various career experience programs that reflect the characteristics of Yeongjong-gu, expand cooperation with the local community, and actively support youth in realizing their dreams."
In the second half of this year as well, the center will operate career experience programs reflecting the regional characteristics of Yeongjong-gu, including school- and community-linked job experiences, service- and sports-sector experiences, a career airfield and career concerts. Through these, it plans to help youth design their own aptitudes and career paths on their own.
