The Ganseok 3-dong Residents' Autonomy Council (간석3동 주민자치회) in Namdong-gu (남동구), Incheon (인천) (chaired by Yang Young-su [양영수]) announced on the 16th that it held the '2026 6th Ganseok 3-dong Residents' General Assembly' on the 15th at the 5th-floor auditorium of the Ganseok 3-dong Community Service Center (간석3동 행정복지센터), with about 200 residents and guests in attendance. At the assembly, the council reported on its 2026 activities, explained the 2027 village agenda, and announced and adopted the results of an advance vote.

Youth Subcommittee's first year expands participation across generations
This year's general assembly expanded resident participation by operating a cooperative body with the Autonomous Association of Neighborhood Chiefs (통장자율회) to help identify agenda items, drawing on a range of methods to reflect residents' opinions more broadly.
The Youth Subcommittee (청소년분과위원회), run for the first time this year, took part in preparing for and running the assembly, adding to the sense that residents' self-governance is being built together across generations. Youth members joined in gathering residents' opinions and supporting the event, experiencing firsthand what it means to take part in self-governance as members of the community.
Five 2027 village projects finalized by vote
Through a resident vote held that day, the following five projects were finalized for the Residents' Autonomy Council's 2027 activities, in order: ▲Building a Clean Ganseok 3-dong (간석3동) Together with Youth ▲Creating the Azalea Garden (진달래 동산) ▲The Most Beautiful Photo of My Life ▲Local and Cultural Exploration Essay Contest ▲Our Village Video Contest.
Yang Young-su (양영수), chairman of the Ganseok 3-dong Residents' Autonomy Council (간석3동 주민자치회), said, "Thanks to residents' active participation, this year's general assembly was also brought to a successful close," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Ganseok 3-dong (간석3동) a better place to live, treating residents' opinions as our most valued asset." The finalized projects will go through the relevant procedures before being carried out as the Residents' Autonomy Council's 2027 projects.
