The Incheon Metropolitan Government announced that it has published the 100th issue of , the official English newsletter that has introduced the city’s key administration and appeal to readers around the world.

Launched in 2010, has been issued bimonthly for 16 years, delivering Incheon’s policies, culture, tourism and everyday information in English to foreign diplomatic missions in Korea, international organizations, international schools, overseas Koreans and readers abroad. Along the way, it became the first local government publication to earn the ISO 9001 and 10002 international certifications, and it won a bronze at the International Business Awards (IBA) of the Stevie® Awards in the United States, gaining international recognition for its quality and reliability. This signifies that, beyond serving as promotional material for city administration, the newsletter has secured a measure of public credibility as a window through which the city of Incheon communicates with the world.

This 100th issue revisits the figures who have shared its pages over the years and gives significant weight to Incheon’s future vision of becoming a global cultural city. In the special feature ‘People of Incheon Now,’ the issue revisits interviews with the leaders of 15 international organizations based in Songdo on their global agendas, along with the stories of professors and students at the Incheon Global Campus (IGC), master artisans preserving the lineage of traditional intangible heritage, foreign residents who have settled in Incheon, and honorary consuls who connect the city with the world. Through these voices, it retraces the trajectory of the city’s growth accumulated over 16 years.

The feature report ‘Incheon Forward’ presented a blueprint for moving from a ‘city of arrivals and transit,’ merely passed through via its airport and port, toward a city Where the World Comes to Stay, where visitors experience its distinctive culture and daily life. Weaving together the regeneration of the inner-harbor waterfront centered on the Sangsang Platform, the fusion of K-culture and MICE around the Munhak and Guwol areas, and the creation of a historical and cultural space at Camp Market in Bupyeong into a single travel course, the report offered a multidimensional look at Incheon’s potential to leap forward as a global cultural city.

The issue also features a diverse range of content, from global economic events and new maritime infrastructure to expert columns and the everyday experiences of foreign residents. It provided advance publicity for the ‘2026 24th World Korean Business Convention,’ to be held at Songdo Convensia from Monday, September 28 through the 30th, highlighting Incheon’s competitiveness as a global business hub, and it introduced ‘Incheon Islands,’ an integrated brand encompassing the city’s 192 islands, along with the ‘Incheon Islands Route Map,’ conveying the appeal of marine tourism along the West Coast.

News of new landmarks is abundant as well. The issue covers the Cheongna Sky Bridge, home to ‘THE SKY 184,’ the world’s highest observation deck on a maritime bridge as recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, as well as information on the opening of the ‘Sindo Peace Bridge’ linking Yeongjong and Sindo. It also candidly presents Incheon’s appeal as seen through foreign eyes, including a contribution on the history and culture of the open port district by Professor Oh Sang-mi of George Mason University, an account of a visit to Inspire Entertainment Resort by Noriko Homma (Japan) of the Incheon City Global Public Relations Group, and a chronicle of life in Incheon by Adiba, an international student at Incheon National University.

A subscriber event inviting participation from citizens and readers at home and abroad will run through September 16. Featuring the corners ‘Spot a Different Side of Incheon,’ a spot-the-difference game using scenery from the Cheongna Sky Bridge observation deck, and ‘Letter from a Reader,’ the event lets participants who sign up for a subscription and enter by email win a small prize through a drawing.

Park Rok-sam, spokesperson for the city, said, ‘Thanks to the steady interest and support of our subscribers, has been able to reach the meaningful milestone of its 100th issue,’ adding, ‘We will continue to faithfully serve as a global bridge that shares Incheon’s uniquely creative future culture and urban value far and wide across the world.’

is distributed to public institutions at home and abroad, foreign diplomatic missions in Korea, international schools, the Overseas Koreans Agency, airports, hotels and tourist information centers, and anyone can subscribe to and read it free of charge as an online webzine and e-book via Incheon’s official English website (https://www.incheon.go.kr/en/EN010304).
