The Incheon Seobu Women’s Center announced that it is recruiting students for its 2026 4th Session Social Education Program. This session will run for 11 weeks, from October 6 to December 21.
The social education program has been organized into 78 courses across 8 fields, reflecting the diverse educational needs of residents, including strengthening digital skills, employment and start-up preparation, certification acquisition, and culture and health. Specifically, the program covers ▲certification acquisition (organizing and storage specialist, rice cake making technician, etc.) ▲employment and start-ups (introduction to barista, practical hair cutting, etc.) ▲IT specialization (GTQ Illustrator, ITQ PowerPoint and Excel, etc.) ▲languages (Chinese, conversational English, etc.) ▲culture academy (watercolor class, calligraphy, etc.) ▲wellness and health (line dance, body-stretching exercise, etc.) ▲weekend special lectures (weekend cooking, guitar class, etc.) and ▲short-term education (YouTube creator, pencil portrait drawing, etc.), spanning a broad range from certification acquisition to hobby and health activities.
Course registration will proceed in stages according to the recruitment schedule. Priority enrollment runs from September 15 to 16, general enrollment from September 17 to October 2, and additional enrollment from October 2 to October 12.
Applicants must be Incheon residents aged 18 or older, and all courses are registered online on a first-come, first-served basis. However, the children and youth guitar class is open to applicants from the third grade of elementary school to the third year of high school, broadening the door to participation across generations.
Course fees range from 24,000 won to 60,000 won depending on the course, allowing residents to receive specialized education at a relatively low cost. This is expected to offer a practical learning opportunity for residents preparing for certification, re-employment or start-ups, as well as those looking to take on a new field.
Detailed information such as course content and schedules for each class can be found on the Seobu Women’s Center website (https://www.incheon.go.kr/wiw), and other inquiries can be directed to the Seobu Women’s Center (☎032-458-7360).
Han Myung-sook, director of the Seobu Women’s Center, said, ‘I hope this social education program will be a meaningful time for residents to take on fields they have always wanted to learn and to discover new possibilities,’ adding, ‘We will continue to expand practical and specialized education in step with changing educational needs.’
