The newly opened Shinhan SOL Global Lounge Daerim-dong was established in response to the rapidly growing number of foreign residents in South Korea. The facility is designed to lower barriers to financial services, particularly for ethnic Koreans from China and other foreign customers, while providing practical financial consultations and assistance with settling in Korea.
One of the lounge’s key features is that it also operates on Sundays, making financial services more accessible to foreign customers who have difficulty visiting banks during weekdays.
The opening ceremony was attended by Shinhan Bank CEO Jung Sang-hyuk and prominent representatives of various Chinese Korean community organizations and related institutions. Participants joined in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the official launch of the lounge.
