The survey will run through Oct. 2, with outreach health and welfare teams from each dong's administrative welfare center conducting on-site visits and phone consultations in parallel to confirm the status of recipients.
The survey targets households in urgent need of identification, including those in the priority management group for customized senior care services, people with complex medical and care needs identified through big data from the National Health Insurance Service, recipients of long-term care in-home benefits, those rated outside the care grade system (Grades A and B), and those whose applications were rejected or dismissed.
During the survey, officials closely examine health conditions and gaps in care coverage, as well as practical difficulties recipients face in daily life, including meals, care, housing and medical support. Based on the findings, the district plans to connect households in need with appropriate services in a timely manner.
The survey is intended to preemptively identify high-risk groups that are prone to falling into welfare blind spots and to swiftly connect them with necessary support, with a focus on strengthening the effectiveness of the local care safety net.
"Through this full survey, we will preemptively identify at-risk households and build a tight-knit care safety net so that all residents can comfortably access medical and care services," said Mayor Kim Chan-jin.
